While the coin sits there the exchange holds the keys: convenient, recoverable if you lose your password, and dependent on the exchange staying solvent and keeping withdrawals open. Moving it to a wallet you control removes that dependency and costs one withdrawal fee — from $0.002012 for RWA. For a trading balance, staying put is reasonable; for a long hold, most people move.

RWA is issued on 2 networks and they are not interchangeable — RWA sent over Base will not arrive at an address on BNB Smart Chain (BEP20). Base is the one most exchanges use (1 of them).
