WAVES trading fees — FAQ
Which exchange has the lowest WAVES trading fee?
Delta Exchange, at 0–0.1% taker and 0–0.1% maker on the base tier. Trading fees are charged per order as a percentage of the trade value, so a lower rate matters most if you trade often.
What is the difference between maker and taker fees?
A maker order adds liquidity — it sits on the order book until someone trades against it. A taker order removes liquidity by matching an existing order immediately. Exchanges charge takers more, and some pay makers a rebate. Trading WAVES with limit orders that rest on the book gets you the maker rate.
Can I pay lower fees on WAVES trades?
Yes — 10 of these exchanges cut fees when you pay in their own token (for example MEXC: −20% paying fees in MX). 11 exchanges also run VIP ladders where 30-day volume or token holdings lower your rate.
Do futures fees differ from spot fees on WAVES?
Yes. Perpetual futures are usually cheaper per trade than spot — the lowest base futures taker fee here is 0–0.1% on MEXC — but futures also carry a funding rate paid between longs and shorts every few hours, which is not a fee the exchange keeps.
