Buying ICP step by step
- Pick a venue from the table. For a coin this size the choice is usually short — 35 exchanges list ICP at all, and the table already shows what you will pay to leave as well as to buy.

What is the cheapest way to buy ICP?

Can I buy ICP with a credit card?
Indirectly, yes. 19 of the exchanges listing ICP accept a card, but the card almost always buys a major asset — USDT, USDC, BTC — which you then swap for ICP on the same exchange. That means two fees: the card charge, then the trading fee in the table.
Do I have to pay a fee to withdraw ICP?

Is it safe to leave ICP on the exchange?
It is a custody choice, not a safety switch. While the coin sits there the exchange holds the keys: convenient, recoverable if you lose your password, and dependent on the exchange staying solvent and keeping withdrawals open. Moving it to a wallet you control removes that dependency and costs one withdrawal fee — from $0.0007443 for ICP. For a trading balance, staying put is reasonable; for a long hold, most people move.
Which network should I use for ICP?
ICP is issued on 2 networks and they are not interchangeable — ICP sent over Internet Computer will not arrive at an address on Cronos. Internet Computer is the one most exchanges use (34 of them). Withdrawal fees differ per network too, sometimes by an order of magnitude, so the cheapest network is worth checking as well as the cheapest exchange.
